Hi everyone, today it’s going to be a review of newly launched Lotus Herbals Ecostay Foundation with SPF20. Although I’m not a big admirer of foundations, but I do use them occasionally. After reading many positive reviews of Lotus Purestay Foundation, I decided to try the Lotus Ecostay foundation, as this one is the improved version of Purestay range. Lotus Herbals has launched this foundation in five shades named, Almond L5, Bright Angel L2, Hazelnut Star L4, Royal Ivory L3 and Royal Pearl L1. I picked up the Royal Ivory L3 shade which proved to be a big mistake, as it is a bit darker color for me. I ordered it online and this (color mismatch) is one of the main drawbacks of the online shopping. I wish I could have chosen Royal Pearl instead of this shade, but anyways I’m going to review it.
Packaging : It comes in a luxurious pink color carton that contains a cylindrical bottle. The bottle is transparent from the middle to make sure that the shade is easily visible. It comes with a pump which is very convenient to use.
My Experience : As I’ve told you that I picked up the wrong shade, but still I used it twice to check its texture and coverage. It has a thick consistency with a creamy texture and glides easily onto the skin. It has a mild fragrance that goes off after application. the pump provided with this foundation gives you full control to get desired amount of product and is very convenient to use. This foundation gives medium coverage or you can say, it gives a little more coverage than BB or CC creams. And if you required more coverage then you should use concealer to conceal dark spots. It is an ideal foundation for day time as it contains SPF.
First time when I used this foundation I was very impressed with the way it spreads on the skin. I generally take two pumps of this product on the back of my hand and dab it on my entire face & neck and then blend it with my finger until it gets absorbed. It evens out my skin tone and imparts a nice glow on my skin. I’ve a combination skin and I don’t require much coverage, so this foundation is perfect for me. It does not make my skin oily or greasy in fact, it gives a nice matte finish all day long. My skin looks moisturized and supple after applying it. The only issue that I faced with this foundation was, I noticed a little breakout around my mouth, it might happened because of some dry patches. I think dry skin beauties should use moisturizer before applying it, otherwise it might make the skin stretchy.
This foundation is ideal for no makeup look, as it gives you natural looking skin. It does not clog pores neither does it settles in fine lines, instead it evens out minor imperfections. It feels very light on the face and SPF 20 protects your skin from the harsh sun. But if you have more exposure to the sun then it is advised to use sunscreen underneath this foundation. I’m satisfied with this foundation and I’m looking forward to order the other shade that matches my skin perfectly.
