Hey everyone, today I’m sharing the review of the Kama Ayurveda Mridul Soap Free face cleanser. Kama Ayurveda is an Indian Ayurvedic beauty brand that offers a wide range of natural skincare, hair care, and body care products. I’ve tried many Kama products in the past and really liked their oils especially the coconut oil and the almond oil. If interested, you can read the reviews of the Kama products I’ve reviewed previously.
A traditional blend of herbs, cereals and pulses ground to a cleansing powder that mildly exfoliates facial skin. A non-drying formula and a great alternative to harsh foaming cleansers, it is suited even to sensitive and damaged skin types. Clarifying Green Gram, Neem, Sandalwood and Fennel gently cleanse dirt, dead skin and impurities without stripping skin of its natural oils. Brightening Sandalwood, Turmeric and Rose even out skin tone while Ground Almonds smoothen the texture of skin.

A small wooden spatula is also provided to take out the cleanser for use. The compact size of the jar makes it travel-friendly and the metallic body makes it durable. The important information related to the product is mentioned on the container.
Texture & Fragrance: The face cleanser comes in green powder form and has a herbal mix fragrance. The powder is not very fine and the grainy texture of the cleanser helps in exfoliation of the skin.
My Experience: I have combination skin that is prone to acne, blackheads, and blemishes. I like using powder based face cleansers that not only cleanses my face but also provides it exfoliation. Earlier, I have tried the Juicy Chemistry Bulgarian Lavender Black Rice cleanser and absolutely loved it. I received a few samples of Kama Mridul face cleanser in some of my monthly beauty subscription boxes. I really liked this all natural face cleanser so I ordered a full-size pack.
I generally take a small amount of the powder in my palm and make a paste by adding enough water. Then I evenly apply the paste all over my wet face and neck. I massage it gently on my skin for 2-3 minutes and then wash it off with tap water. It comes out easily with water although the entire process is little messy as its granules drop all over the wash-basin.
After every wash, my face feels soft, cleansed, and refreshed. It removes impurities and oil effectively leaving the skin clean and clear. The coarse texture of the cleanser helps in exfoliating the skin and thus reducing the appearance of blackheads and whiteheads. It is also quite effective in treating acne and pimples.

I guess this is more of a natural cleanser .. and obviously the one who is using makeup cannot use this as a cleanser.. if at all they want to use it after they have removed their makeup and washed their face. Right?
Does it cleanse it well even when we use makeup? Or should we follow with soap first..?
This cleanser is best use in the morning after waking when face is already clean. But in the evening time it is best to use oil cleaning so that it dissolves all the makeup and sunscreen and then followed by soapy cleanser which removes the remaining oil and dirt .
I have been using it for a week now. The face feels a lot cleaner and fresh.
