L’Oreal has launched a new range of hair care products a few days back and named it as L’Oreal 6 Oil Nourish. This range contains three products – shampoo, conditioner, and hair oil. Two weeks ago I saw these products online at Amazon.in and I ordered them at once and I received my package within 48 hrs which is amazing.
Before starting the review I would like to tell you that I have curly frizzy hair with an oily scalp. This chilly winter has made my hair more dry and unmanageable. So I was looking for hair care products that contain natural oils and I bought Organix Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo (click here to view full review).
But sadly this shampoo didn’t work for my hair and I was very disappointed. This time I decided to try L’Oreal 6 Oil Nourish range products that are quite popular these days. This shampoo is available in three variants and bought 640ml bottle. actually, only this size was available online at that time.
Packaging: It comes in a bright yellow plastic bottle with a pump system. A golden color label is attached at the front of the bottle and the brand name, shampoo name, 6 benefits of this shampoo are written on it. The pump provided with this bottle is very convenient to use and pour out the desired amount of product.
My Experience: I have not used any single hair care product from L’Oreal in the past and when I came across this range I decided to give it a try. Its 6 Oil Formula for 6 Benefits, the slogan sounds quite promising and Katrina is endorsing this range, so this product was a must-buy for me.
I have already used this shampoo five times and now I decided to share my views about this overhyped product. I was so excited to use this shampoo that the day I received my package, I was using this shampoo after 10 minutes.
It has a sunset yellow color and has a runny consistency. It smells amazing and somehow I noticed its smell is almost the same as of the Organix Moroccan Oil Shampoo. It contains tiny shimmer particles.
I took two pumps of this shampoo and applied it all over my hair, but it didn’t work up into a lather. So I took two more pumps which is much more than I normally took. This time it worked into enough lather to clean my hair. You can feel a mild sensation while shampooing.
I have wavy hair with oily scalp and to prevent dandruff I used to apply shampoo twice during each wash. It did a good job to clean my hair and it rinsed off completely and no residue left behind. At the time when I was rinsing this shampoo, I noticed that my hair felt quite dry and frizzy.
I applied L’Oreal 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner after using this shampoo and the conditioner made my hair a bit manageable. This shampoo has an amazing fragrance that lasts just for 2-3 hours on my hair.
I didn’t use any hair serum after shampooing to check the after-effects of this shampoo. There was no shine and it made my hair dry and unmanageable. I was very disappointed after the first wash, as it gave me the same results that I got from Organix shampoo.
But I decided to try it for few more times before coming to any conclusion. Now after using this shampoo for 4-5 five-time I saw a little improvement in my hair. My hair doesn’t feel that much dry and unmanageable as they were after the first wash, but still, it doesn’t live up to its claims of making hair strong, smooth, shiny, soft, thick and manageable.
It is definitely a decent product but quite pricey and there are many better options available at a comparatively lesser price. I think it would take some time to show good results on my hair and I’m looking forward to using this shampoo for some more time.
