L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Instant Smoothing and Nourishing Oil Serum Review

Hi everyone, I got this L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Instant Smoothing and Nourishing Oil Serum as a free gift on purchase of makeup products from Nykaa.com. I have frizzy, curly hair, so it is a necessity for me to use hair serum to control the frizz. I have been using Moroccanoil Treatment Argan Hair Oil for last 10 months and I am quite satisfied with its results. The thing which I do not like about the Moroccanoil Treatment Argan Hair Oil is its not-so-travel-friendly packaging . It comes in a glass bottle and is prone to leaks from the cap . Due to this I carried L’Oreal oil serum (which is quite travel friendly) with me a few weeks back while I was traveling and used it 4-5 times.

Packaging : It comes in a opaque creamy plastic bottle with red flip open cap. The cap is secure enough and there no spilling of product. The cap opening is perfect to dispense required amount of product.

My Experience :  I got 40ml sample size bottle of this hair serum. It is transparent and has an oil like consistency. It has a mild fragrance that lasts for 2 hours. It is non-sticky and spreads very easily on hair. I used this hair serum on damp as well as dry hair and it worked well in both ways.

It helps in detangling hair and reduces frizz up to certain extent. It imparts healthy shine on hair without making my hair greasy. I take an appropriate amount of this hair serum onto my palm and then apply it on my hair all the way down towards hair ends. It smoothes ends and tames my fizzy hair till the next wash. It does not help in managing the fly aways. Small amount of serum is required during each use and this 40ml bottle will last for 20-25 usages.
