Hey everyone, my today’s review is about a must have skin care product for summers, which is a sunscreen from herbal brand Lotus named, Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel with SPF50. I just love Lotus Herbals sunscreens and this is my third sunblock from Lotus. I have already reviewed Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Daily Multi Function Sunblock SPF70.
Packaging : It comes in a bright orange plastic tube with flip open cap. The packaging is sturdy & lid is tightly secure and you can easily carry it with you.
My Experience : I have combination skin that becomes oily during summers. So I was looking for some gel based sunscreen and when I saw Lotus matte gel at Amazon.in, I ordered it without any second thought. I have been using it for last 10 days and am very satisfied with its results.
This matte gel has white color and has mild fragrance. It is very lightweight and gets absorbed into the skin quickly with little massage. It gives cooling sensation to my skin. After application it gives neat matte look and there is no oil secretion for next 4-5 hours. I have very sensitive acne prone skin and this matte gel never made me break out. Its non-sticky formula controls oil without making my skin dry or stretchy.
This matte gel can be used as a makeup base. I use to apply it underneath foundation and it provides smooth base for makeup application. I don’t have much exposure to sun, but still I apply Lotus matte gel twice in a day (morning & afternoon). Small amount of this gel is required during each use and this 50g pack will last for 1 month when used on face & neck.
The only thing that bothers me is that it is not tinted and is unable to even outs my skin imperfections. Other then that I did not find any drawback of this amazing gel. I would highly recommend this amazing product to all, as it would suit any complexion.

Exactly opposite to what it claims. It makes skin dry. After applying face becomes extremely dry and finally skin breaks out. Can’t apply on hands also, after applying this gel white patches appears on skin. Don’t buy this product it’s waste of money

It is a beautiful product. I had many dark spots on my skin and now it has cleared up. It is the most suitable sunscreen for an oily and pimple or acne prone skin.
I would prefer it over all the other costly sunscreen
