Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation Review – Ivory 115

Hey everyone, today I’m reviewing the newly launched Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. This new launch is specially designed for normal to oily skin and is available in 6 shades – Warm Honey 322, Ivory 115, Warm Nude 128, Natural Buff 230, Sun Beige 310 and Toffee 330. I’ve already reviewed the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer from the same range.

Packaging: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation comes in a clear glass bottle with a black screw cap. The cap is tightly secure and the bottle is not very bulky so you can easily carry it while travelling. The shade name and number is mentioned at the top of the cap. The only issue I found with its packaging is that it comes without a pump dispenser due to which taking the foundation out of the bottle becomes a little messy. It also leads to the wastage of the product.

Texture & Fragrance: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation has a creamy soft texture that glides smoothly on the skin. It has a little runny consistency that can lead to product wastage if not used with caution. It has a very faint fragrance that will not bother even sensitive noses.

Price & Availability: The price of the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation is Rs.525 for 30ml. It is easily available at Maybelline counters, local departmental stores and you can also get it online from Nykaa.com.

Efficacy: I’ve oily skin with acne marks, light blemishes and open pores and I always prefer makeup products that don’t feel heavy on my skin. When I saw this new launch from Maybelline I couldn’t resist myself from buying it. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation is available in 6 shades and I picked the lightest shade, ‘Ivory’ as it matches my skin tone closely. The shade ‘Ivory’ is a milky peach color with pink undertones that will easily suit fair skin ladies.

After prepping my face with a primer, I take out the foundation and apply dots all over my face & neck with my fingers. It blends very easily with fingers and settles into a matte finish. It gives light to medium coverage, but you can easily build 2-3 layers for a little more coverage. It hides light spots and blemishes nicely and gives an even tone smooth finish to my face. It also blurs the appearance of open pores slightly without clogging them. It feels very light and stays put on my face for good 6-7 hours with minor fading.

My oily skin becomes a little dry during the winters and I get a few dry patches on my face especially near my mouth & inner cheek area. It is not very hydrating and it can accentuate fine lines and dry areas easily if your skin is not properly moisturized especially during the winters. But I totally loved this foundation and I’m sure it’ll work great for my oily skin during the hot weather. The only drawback of this foundation is its limited shade selection, as it is a little difficult to get a perfect shade for every skin tone.
