Hey everyone, today I’m reviewing the new Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in the shade Regal Green. Lakme makeup brand recently added 3 new metallic shades in their existing Eyeconic Kajal range – Regal Green, Turquoise, and Royal Blue.
Packaging: The new Lakme Eyeconic Kajal comes in the same packaging like the older ones. It comes in a sleek black retractable pencil with turquoise accents. The shade name is written on the small teal band around the bottom of the kajal. The only drawback of the packaging is that it becomes quite difficult to identify the shade in case you own more than one. I think they should either make the pencil color matching the respective kajal shade or they should atleast include the color-coded caps.
Price & Availability: The price of the Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Regal Green is Rs.275 for 0.35g. You can buy it from Lakme counters and also online from Amazon.in.
Shades Available: Black, White, Brown, Green, Grey, Blue, Regal Green, Turquoise, and Royal Blue.
Efficacy: The shade Regal Green is a beautiful sea green color with micro shimmer particles. Due to its creamy texture, it glides smoothly on the waterline and lashline. It is decently pigmented and shows nice color pay off with 2-3 strokes. It sets into a pretty metallic finish and stays on for 3-4 hours on my lash lines and 2-3 hours on my water lines.
I have very oily eye lids and it starts smudging after 2-3 hours and also transfers on the upper sides of the lids. Regal Green is a pretty shade that would flatter all skin tones, but its color intensity may vary. It will give intense color pay off on normal to dry lids but it will not flatter much on oily & pigmented lids. It does fulfill its claims of being water proof and smudge proof up to certain extent, but not for 10 hours.
Reasons to buy Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Regal Green:
- It comes in an easy to use twist-up pencil form that need not to be sharpened.
- Pretty green shade with a metallic finish that will flatter all eye colors.
- Water-proof.
- Dermatologically tested.
- Not very expensive.
- Can be used as an eyeshadow base.
Reasons to avoid Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Regal Green:
- It smudges and transfers easily on oily lids.
- Not very unique shade, you can get similar shade from other brands like Colorbar, NYX.
- Ingredients are not given.
- Color will not show much on pigmented eyelids.
