Hey everyone, today I’m reviewing the Spawake Moisture Fresh BB Cream. Spawake skincare brand is recently launched in India by the Japanese cosmetic company Kose Corporation. They offer a range of face wash, scrub, moisturizer, serum, face mask and now a BB cream. I’ve already reviewed a few of the Spawake products in the past, you can read their reviews here. Spawake BB cream is launched in two shades Perfect Glow 01 (for dusky skin tone) and Natural Glow 02 (for medium to fair skin tone).
Packaging: Spawake Moisture Fresh BB Cream comes in a white plastic tube with a nozzle mouth opening that is covered with a black screw cap. The product related important information like its claims, how to use, ingredients, price and expiry date is provided on the outer carton box. I liked its sleek, convenient to use and travel-friendly packaging.
Texture & Fragrance: Spawake Moisture Fresh BB Cream has a very light texture and a little runny consistency. It has a sweet floral fragrance (like other Spawake products) which is very mild and short-lasting such that you’ll not be able to smell it after its application.
Price & Availability: The price of the Spawake Moisture Fresh BB Cream is Rs.129 for 15g and Rs.249 for 30g. It is easily available at a local beauty store or you can buy Spawake skincare products online from Myntra.com.
Efficacy: Spawake BB cream is available in two shades and I picked the shade Natural Glow which is a close match to my skin tone. It has a very light watery texture and spreads effortlessly on the skin which makes application fuss-free. After cleansing-toning-moisturising my face, I dot it all over my face & neck and then blend it with my fingers. It blends nicely and gives sheer to medium coverage.
It evens out minor skin imperfections like light pigmentation or spots and gives a semi-matte finish to my skin. It comes with SPF25 and PA++ protection, so there is no need of applying sunscreen separately. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and stays put on for about 5-6 hours. My skin becomes dry during the winters, so I always make sure to exfoliate & moisturize my face properly before applying this BB cream as it is not enough moisturizing and has the tendency to accentuate dry patches and fine lines on the skin.
What I liked about Spawake Moisture Fresh BB Cream:
- Sturdy, hygienic and travel-friendly packaging.
- Light texture spread easily on the skin.
- Has SPF25 PA++ protection, which is great.
- Ideal to use on daily basis.
- Enriched with some interesting ingredients.
- Not very expensive and you can find it easily at stores and also online.
What I disliked about Spawake Moisture Fresh BB Cream:
- Only two shade options available.
- Not enough moisturizing for dry skin and makes the skin a little sticky if you have oily skin.
- Gives very sheer coverage.
